Social Night for Young Adults
This weekly gathering will be a place to visit, share thoughts, ask questions and get answers about what is most concerning to other young adults.
- Some topics discussed might include a present transition program, college and/or work placement; the development of peer, coworker and dating relationships; and how to solve social dilemmas may also be addressed.
- Other areas of discussion may include finding your own “comfort zone” and being true to who you are, making safe and positive decisions in various aspects of your life, earning and spending money, ways to become more independent, thinking through a variety of future living arrangements, and learning about the world and your place in it.
- There will be chances to make some food, relax and develop friendships.
This group is best-suited for clients ages 18-22 that are currently in a transition program, college and/or work placement, able to attend in a group for 60 minutes, able to engage in reciprocal conversations, and demonstrate low rates of maladaptive behavior.
