Betsy has been with the KGH team since 2018. Betsy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Master of Science in Social Work, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified practitioner of mindfulness. Betsy has worked with children, teens, and young adults as a social worker in the greater Madison area for 37 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including public schools and private agencies, as well as at a university level as a preceptor and instructor. Betsy has developed and coordinated district-wide programs, and trained colleagues in areas of mental health, substance abuse, violence risk, and the process of screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT). In her free time Betsy enjoys traveling, biking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Betsy is passionate about supporting clients in addressing barriers and challenges so they can fully access their own resiliency.
